RIOT

Fires in the Mirrors

From watching the film we have been exposed to 2 different sides of the riot. There is the honest side from the Jewish point of view and then there is the honest side from the African American point of view. From both side of the stories I find it very difficult to pick one of these sides. Having no knowledge which side is true, I would have to say neutral. This accident was an unfortunate event that caused so much controversy. It caused a lot of controversy because neither side wanted to fix the problem, it just turned into rioting. I would pick neutral because of the things each one of the sides has said. Coming from the Jewish point of view, the Jewish man tried to pick the car up by himself to try and get the kid to safety. From the African American side, they said the Jewish man just ran off and was supposedly drunk when this happened. Also, I part with the African Americans on how the ambulance coming for only the Jewish Man was wrong but when the African Americans decided to stab another Jewish man, it caused a lot of tension. Both sides of the story extend the truth to make themselves look good and the other side bad. Both of the groups of people have lost someone and I feel for both sides.
