Booker T Washington

Frederick Douglas believed that the African Americans should stay in the south for many reasons. The main reasons that African Americans wanted to leave the south and move to the North were for the job opportunities. But, the job opportunities were the same as the south and almost better pay. That is their main reason for them wanting to move to the north. Another reason was that moving to the north would help solve the problem of slaves in the south. The African Americans would soon realize that they would be able to gain power if they just stayed and realized what they had and could prove that freedom was important to them. They needed to prove to themselves that working in the fields is as better as anything else. Frederick Douglas strongly suggested that the African Americans stayed in the south and not move to the north.

Seems a bit short, but you have the basic ideas down. You probably could have used some textual examples to "fatten up" the blog, like the "cast down your bucket" thing. I also got the impression that the Southerners should stay in the south from Washington, even if I don't know if I completley agree with him.

This is a little thin, and you really need to explain the idea of staying in the south as a way to improve race relations.
